move to top The Association of Environmental Enterprises is an industrial life organisation of entrepreneurs and companies in the environmental field. The association has over one hundred member companies, whose activities comprehensively cover the different areas of environmental management: collection, transport and treatment of waste and recyclable materials and delivering materials for refuse.

The business area also covers treatment of contaminated soil, environmental technology and consultancy. The main objective of the association is to develop environmental business based on market economy and sustainable development. The companies in the field play a significant role in implementing waste management measures and in achieving the national objectives for recovery.

The Association of Environmental Enterprises is a member organisation of the Chemical Industry Federation of Finland, ISWA (International Solid Waste Association) and FEAD (European Federation of Waste Management and Environmental Services).

The Association of Environmental Enterprises is the Finnish coordinating body of the European Business Awards for the Environment competition, organized by European Commission.
