Divisions
Companies co-operate in issues linked to specialized areas. The gas industry and the adhesives industry work as divisions, as do companies interested in strandardization.
Gas Industry DivisionCompanies manufacturing
gases for the purposes of the industry and the health care sector
established their own division in 2003. At the same time the division
joined EIGA, the
European Industrial Gases Association. The goal of the gas industry
division is to enhance safety in the everyday operations both in traffic
and transport as well as in industrial facilities using gases.Adhesives
Industry DivisionThe operating environment of the adhesives
industry is international and decisions pertaining to the activities of
the industry are made on a European level. The adhesives industry division
takes part in the activities of FEICA,
the Association of European Adhesives Manufacturers, and uses in its own
work the surveys, statements and information materials published by the
Association. In Finland the division’s role is to monitor the economic
outlook and progress in the field.Standardisation
DivisionThe standardisation division of the Chemical Industry
Federation of Finland handles standardisation issues of the field in
accordance to an agreement made with the Finnish Standards Association.
The division monitors standardisation both on a European and international
level. The role of the standards is to remove technical obstacles to trade
and commerce in the internal European market as well as in the global
market. By taking part in the standardisation work companies can exert
their influence on the substance of the standards being prepared and can
anticipate future changes. |
