The plastics industry employs over 14,000 people in Finland at about 600 companies.

The Finnish Plastics Industries Federation knows plastics – products and production, factors influencing competitiveness, environmental issues, training needs and questions related to the reputation of the industry. The association is a trade and labour market political interest group for companies in the industry. It has well-operating domestic and international networks. There are also divisions serving different groups of companies.
 
The Finnish Plastics Industries Federation is a member of the Chemical Industry Federation of Finland.
