Finnish Plastics Industries Federation is responsible for supervising the
interests of the plastic products industry. Labour market issues are
handled in close cooperation with the Chemical Industry Federation of
Finland, whose labour market team answers for collective labour agreement
negotiations.
The plastic industry team knows the industry: its
products and production, development of the industry’s different branches,
factors affecting its competitiveness, environmental questions, training
needs, research challenges and issues of image and reputation in the field.
And
all this know-how is put to good use. It is crucial to make sure that
there is competent workforce to tackle the ever more demanding jobs in the
field. Environmental issues related to products and production must be
handled in a manner supporting sustainable development. Moreover,
information about the economic developments in the plastic industry must
be located and distributed to investors and parties shaping the industry’s
operating environment.
And last but not least the member companies
expect information on a regular basis, as well. There are plenty of
opportunities, which arise from the association’s membership in the

needs of each product group manufacturer are unique. The plastic industry
serves its member companies through groups. The groups have their own
