The Safety 24 h project, which is closely linked to Responsible Care,
has its background in organizations of the chemical industry and its
related fields. The project aims to find solutions to safety issues in
work places. The goal is to create new ideas and attitudes, locate
practical tools and to make use of experiences – and above all, to share
know-how.
Safety 24h is based on seminars, exchange of
information and development initiatives organized in companies. Support
material generated for shared use during the project is another asset.
The project work received recognition as the European Occupational Health and
Safety Agency rewarded Safety 24h in a competition involving best
European practices. As special grounds for the award the jury cited
broad cooperation between organizations representing the industry and
the employees.
