Development of competitiveness has opened up new doors for interaction. In the beginning of 2004, the Prime Minister’s Office initiated a survey on the success factors of Finnish labour and production in the shifting global economy. The chemical industry took part in the process through the ongoing dialogue between the Chemical Industry Federation of Finland and the most important employee organizations of the field. In autumn 2004 the Federation completed its survey ‘The chemical industry in the global economy’. Several additional studies are being made on the subject.
