The business idea of the Chemical Industry Federation of Finland is to act determinedly to promote the competitiveness and operational preconditions of its members in Finland. The business idea is realised in five different areas: Labour market, Environment, health and safety, Expertise and education, Innovations and new business operations and Communications.
The strategy of the Chemical Industry Federation of Finland for 2010-2012 was established on November 2009. The renewed strategy specified the Federation’s business idea and defined the goals, operating model and principles for the strategic term. The needs for development assumed the form of strategic campaigns.
During the next three-year term, the goal of the Chemical Industry Federation of Finland is to be a strong opinion leader which operates cost-effectively and generates a positive image for the industry. The achievement of our goals is monitored using clear indicators.
The strategic process required that the services provided by the federation be conceptualised. This task involved mapping out the members’ service needs, which guide the production of services.
