The chemical Industry´s international Responsible Care programme has been a role model for responsible business for two decades so far. The programme has been under constant development. Responsible Care programme provides a method of thinking and forms of operations for chemical industry when tackling the fundamental challenges of the 2010´s:

• sustainable use of natural resources
• material and energy efficient as well as safe production
• open co-operation within stakeholders 
• responsible production and use of chemical indutry products throughout their entire life cycle
• well-being at work via social dimension of sustainable development
