The Chemical Industry Federation of Finland organizes various annual training events in the field of chemical safety. The majority of participants come from chemical industry companies, although the events are open for everybody interested in the topics. The goal is to provide those working with chemicals-related issues with basic competencies, but on the other hand the training events complement and up-date the know-how of the field. The rapid tempo of changes in legislation creates a need for a continuous fortification of the knowledge base. The trainers and instructors are representatives of authorities, research institutes and specialists of chemicals companies. The basic training in chemicals safety has been organized three consecutive years in the running, providing 120 participants with sound basic competencies.
